| Description of Property Montara lies 7 miles north of downtown Half Moon Bay and boasts a wide sandy beach, tree-lined streets leading back into the hills, and good walking and biking trails.
Housed in a 100-year-old building with an exciting history, the Goose & Turrets creates “a slow-lane place for fast-lane folks.” Beginning with afternoon tea accompanied by savories and sweets, you can unwind and be pampered. Each of the themed rooms offers down comforters, towel warmers, a desk, and good reading lights. All have private baths; some have fireplaces.
Tea and the famous four-course breakfasts are served in the large common room, and between times you might want to play the piano, read by the fire, listen to music, or chat with your fellow guests. Outside, you can lie in the hammock, watch birds, enjoy the flower and herb gardens, and listen to splashing water in the fountain.
