HOTELS

Beach House Hotel, a luxuriously appointed New England-style boutique luxury property overlooking the Pacific Ocean, is hosting a special champagne reception on Valentine’s Day in the lobby from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., complemented by oven-roasted cashews with herbs from the hotel’s garden. This refined, yet relaxed property features 54 ocean lofts, all with a private patio or balcony, wood burning fireplaces, refrigerators, microwaves, CD systems and pampering Aveda bath products. Special perks include complimentary continental breakfast, an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, in-room massage, complimentary newspapers and an evening wine and cheese reception on weekends. Specials for Valentine’s Day include a plethora of options for romance:

Valentine’s Day dining in Navio features a four-course prix fixe dinner menu created by Chef de Cuisine Aaron Zimmer in one of the most romantic oceanfront settings in Northern California. Ladies receive a complimentary rose and box of fine chocolates. 6 to 10 p.m.; $115, with optional $78 wine pairing, per guest, exclusive of tax and gratuity; reservations required.

For chocolate lovers, head to The Conservatory Lounge for a decadent chocolate tasting menu. Available February 8-17 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; $22 per guest or $34 with a glass of champagne, exclusive of tax and gratuity.

For couples who wish to celebrate in a more intimate setting, there’s nothing better than a gourmet four-course prix fixe dinner for two delivered directly to the guestroom to share in bed. The menu includes a half Maine lobster, braised short ribs, cheeses and chocolates. Available on February 14; $255 per couple, exclusive of tax and gratuity. Twelve hour advance reservations and an overnight stay are required.

Unwind in luxury at the spa with a special 60-minue Hot Oil Rose Massage that includes a complimentary glass of champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries.

DINING

Newly remodeled Cetrella’s warm color tones, lofty ceilings, live jazz, cozy fireplace and plush dining room are the perfect place for couples to enjoy a special celebration.
