Aauw-Hmb Monthly Meeting: CASA

Join AAUW-HMB for their monthly meeting, featuring speaker Nilda Aldridge, a CASA recruitment and outreach coordinator.

Please join AAUW-HMB to hear about CASA, a very important and relevant program to help foster youth.

CASA (Court-Appointed Special Advocates) is a nationwide organization that pairs trained, court appointed volunteers with
children in need of support. The role of a CASA volunteer is to build a relationship with a dependent child and thus advocate for the child’s best interest. CASA volunteers do not act as social workers or attorneys. They are volunteers who have been trained and are
supervised under specific guidelines set out under California law.
The speaker will discuss the value of CASA and how children in our
community have benefited from this program.

All those interested are welcome to attend...open to the public!
