Farm Day

Hello Wonderful Farm Day Gatherers,

The Half Moon Bay Coastside Chamber of Commerce Farm Day Committee has been monitoring the Coronavirus situation closely within our city and throughout the area. We believe it is in the best interest of the health & safety of our community that we postpone the annual Mel Mello Farm Day Luncheon planned for March 27, 2020 at the IDES Hall. We will refund any sold tickets if requested or hold until the new date for this event has been determined.

Please let me know if you have any questions by replying to this email or calling (650) 726-8380. Thank you for hanging in there with all of us through these times.

Farmer of the Year: A time honored tradition, the Farmer of the Year is a celebration of the backbone of the Coastside community. We honor an awardee whose farming employs sound business practices, is actively involved in the Coastside community, and is helping the continuation of this industry by nurturing and educating future farming innovators.

Dolores Mullin "Like a Rock" Award: Dolores Mullin knew how to get things done. No matter the issue, big or small, she got to the root and moved things along. Never asking for anything in return, she was a "rock" the community knew they could count on. In remembrance of her achievements and selfless actions, we recognize an awardee who has shown the same exemplary dedication, commitment, and volunteerism throughout the years to the benefit of the Coastside and its people.

Glenn Ashcraft Chamber Community Service Award: Glenn Ashcraft had a heart that overflowed. His goodwill is still felt today and there are many Coastsiders who have a story of how Glenn enriched their life. If he ever heard of a person in need, he was there to help. Giving was his core nature. In remembrance of his goodness and selfless actions, we recognize an awardee who has continually supported Coastside causes and given of his/herself time and time again.
