The LA music scene underwent a massive change in the 80’s. Dave Travis has been accumulating material since 1984 and compiled it into project that he calls ‘A History Lesson,’ offering viewers an insight into the punk rock movement. A documentary using live footage of Meat Puppets, Minutemen, Twisted Roots and Redd Kross along with interviews with the artists today creates a unique image of a turbulent time in music and American culture that has yet to be surpassed.
Special showings of A History Lesson have been arranged nation wide, but the film will be shown at The Old Princeton Landing in Half Moon Bay on Saturday February 5th. Live music from Carange Asada will make the evening extra special. Just remember to bring extra ear plugs!
