Shopping on the Half Moon Bay Coastside

The Half Moon Bay Coastside has many charming places to shop. Our short guide below will direct you to all of the quaint destinations. Thank you for shopping small!

Historic Main Street, Half Moon Bay

Half Moon Bay's Main Street is a small-shopper's dream, with many beautiful retail shops and restaurants and plenty of free street parking. From wine & cheese, kitchen gadgets, beautiful locally-designed jewelry and home accessories and furniture, Main Street has it all. Not to mention many restaurants, eateries & cafés. You'll find most anything you've been dreaming of for yourself or those on your gift list.

Pillar Point Harbor

Just North of Half Moon Bay on Highway 1, is the Pillar Point Harbor, and home to many delightful shops and interesting places. Home to Maverick's Surf Shop, Nasturtium Art of Living, the Half Moon Bay Brewery and Half Moon Bay Distillery, as well as the Shoppes at Harbor Village, we're sure there's something fun for everyone. You can even walk out on the docks and pick up a freshly-caught crab, salmon or tuna to take home.

Pescadero

Pescadero on the South Coast is a charming place to visit and conjures the quintessential small town America. On Stage Road, the town's main street, there are many lovely shops filled with antiques, handcrafted items and art. Arcangeli Grocery Market offers the most amazing artichoke bread, and lunch (or the best Bloody Mary you ever had) at Duarte's is unmatched, as is their half & half soup (not on the menu—only locals know about it!). Duarte's was featured on Best Diners, Drive' Ins and Dives for their famous abalone sandwich. The only gas station in town hosts Taqueria de Amigos—arguably the best fish (or shrimp!) tacos on the Coastside, and certainly the best salsa.

Just a short drive south of Half Moon Bay on Highway 1, make a left on Pescadero Creek Road at Pescadero State Beach. Don't forget to stop by Harley Farms, their goat's cheese is famous, and the goat's milk body products are amazing.
