The 1,535 pound Atlantic Giant topped the scales this year at the Safeway World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off. California native Ron Root, who has been growing pumpkins for the past four years has a knack for creative monster gourds and this pumpkin is no exception! Over fourteen pumpkins weighing over a thousand pounds crowded the field this year, it was truly a magnificent sight!
