Coastal Arts League Gallery

The Coastal Arts League, a grassroots nonprofit cooperative in Half Moon Bay, has been a cornerstone of the Coastside community for over forty years. Since its incorporation in 1980, the organization has been dedicated to supporting local artists and showcasing their work. Established in its current Main Street location in 1995, the League has transformed from a small local art group into a regionally recognized cooperative exhibition space. The League’s vision is to serve as the Public Art Gallery for the area, providing a platform for artists to exhibit and sell their original creations that celebrate the unique beauty of the Coastside.

The gallery offers a welcoming and well-lit space where visitors can find original artworks at accessible prices, making art appreciation and ownership more attainable. It is a place where art enthusiasts can gather, exchange ideas, and foster a deeper connection with the local art community.

The Coastal Arts League hosts a full schedule of exhibitions, including juried shows that attract artists from across the Bay Area. The gallery showcases a diverse range of art forms, from painting and photography to fiber arts, ceramics, glass, and jewelry. By representing artists from varied cultural backgrounds, the League ensures a vibrant and inclusive art scene. This diversity not only enriches the local culture but also offers visitors an opportunity to experience the rich tapestry of creative expression found along the Coastside.
