Join us for First Fridays in Half Moon Bay, California—a vibrant celebration of local art, culture, and community spirit! This monthly event invites art enthusiasts and visitors to explore the charming historic downtown area, where galleries and unique shops showcase a diverse array of creative works.

Our Half Moon Bay Downtown map will guide you through the galleries and shops on historic Main Street, where you can discover artwork of all types. As you stroll, be sure to admire the public art along the way—the walls of many downtown buildings are adorned with colorful murals and artistic touches, adding to the area’s creative atmosphere. We invite you to stop in at one of our many wine bars and restaurants at the end of your stroll.

The event runs from 4pm to 6pm. Featured venues include:

Coastal Arts League – 300 Main Street
The Coastal Arts League is a nonprofit public art gallery and artist collective.Check coastside-artists.com for current exhibits.

Mirada Art – 355 Main Street
Mirada Art brings together local painters, photographers, jewelers, fiber artists, and makers for themed exhibitions built around a central idea. Art is a conversation between the artist and the collector. Come join the conversation. Check mirada-art.com for the artists participating in their current exhibition.

Art by Jul – 707 Mill Street
The working studio of local mural artist Julie Englemann. Her studio features her vibrant murals as well as her large-scale paintings and digital work.

Miwok Gallery – 707 Mill Street
Handcrafted pottery by local Coastside artisans, with a primary focus on the work of Jesse Henry and Randall Reid.

Silk & Stone – 714 Kelly Street
Featuring silk paintings and wearable art by Natasha Foucault and other artists.

SeaBreeze Art Collective – 519 Main Street
Rotating exhibits by new and established local artists. 

Nuance Fine Art – 604A Main Street
Working studio and gallery of Aina Clotas and Joseph Altwer.

Ocean Blue Art Vault – 643 Main Street
A collective gallery, The Vault rotates local artists seasonally. Check oceanbluevault.com for the current season’s artists.

Kelly Mumford Gallery – 719 Main Street
Featuring modern art by Kelly Mumford, inspired by coastal living. 

M Stark Gallery – 727 Main Street
M Stark Gallery features Peninsula artists whose work is in dialogue with contemporary fine art movements. Check mstarkgallery.com/art for current exhibition and First Friday programming.
