Internationally acclaimed drummer, composer, and bandleader Jonathan Barber leads his powerhouse group, Vision Ahead, in a dynamic fusion of classic jazz, gospel, rock, soul, and fusion. The band includes longtime friends and fellow Jackie McLean Institute alumni — guitarist Andrew Renfroe, pianist Taber Gable, bassist Matt Dwonszyk, and saxophonist Matt Knoegel.
With five critically praised albums under his belt, including the latest self-titled Vision Ahead and the DownBeat 4.5-star-rated Legacy Holder, Barber has firmly established his mark on the jazz scene.
