Based in New York City, she’s a graduate of both the Jackie McLean Institute and The Juilliard School. Her debut album, Among Giants, earned a 5-star review in DownBeat and was named one of the Best Albums of 2024. Downbeat praised her “fierceness and lyrical conviction” and noted she channels the spirits of jazz greats like Jackie McLean and John Coltrane.
Sarah has performed with renowned musicians such as Jeff “Tain” Watts, Nat Reeves, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Jason Moran, Joseph Farnsworth, Peter Washington, and Nicholas Payton. Sarah has also toured with her band SH4, as well as with bands such as the Grammy-award winning Mingus Big Band. Sarah made a powerful debut at the Bach with the Ulysses Owens Jr. and Generation Y band and blew the house down!
