A pink building with the sign "Half Moon Bay Feed & Fuel Co." above the entrance, featuring three large windows and a central door. A white flatbed truck is parked in front of the building on a wet street. There is a large tree on the left side of the image and a smaller beige house to the right. The building has decorative paintings of horses on the left and right sides. The sky is partly cloudy.

Shopping in Downtown Half Moon Bay

Downtown Half Moon Bay isn’t a place you shop with a list. The stores along Main Street are independent, most run by the people who own them, and the shelves show it: books, home goods, clothing, work from local makers, art and jewelry, gear for the beach a few blocks away. Prices run the range, so you might leave with a paperback or with something you’ll keep for years. Give it some time. Half the point is the walk between shops, and there’s always a coffee and a place to sit when you need one.
