Erik Jekabson’s Stringtet, an all-star chamber-jazz ensemble of top Bay Area musicians, comes together to celebrate the music of Duke Ellington just in time to celebrate Duke’s birthday! Joining the band is special guest vocalist Jackie Ryan whose rich, expressive voice adds a stunning dimension to Ellington’s timeless works.

About Erik Jekabson:
A well-known Bay Area musician, Jekabson has toured with John Mayer and performed with legends like Taj Mahal, Maceo Parker, and Boz Scaggs. He has released eight albums under his own name and produced three with his Electric Squeezebox Orchestra. His latest album, Breakthrough, continues his innovative partnership with Wide Hive Records, featuring collaborations with jazz greats such as Mike Clark and Kamasi Washington. As an arranger, Jekabson has worked with major symphonies (San Francisco Symphony, BBC Radio Orchestra), top vocalists (Madeleine Peyroux, Ani DiFranco), and jazz ensembles including his own Electric Squeezebox Orchestra.
