Vibraphonist, sax and flute master (and local treasure!), Roger Glenn is ingredient X. The secret sauce. The cat behind the cat. Now, after decades of elevating the music of bona fide legends in jazz, Latin jazz, blues, and funk, the most versatile, singular multi-instrumental master has stepped out of the shadows and into the spotlight with his first new album in four decades, My Latin Heart. Join us for an unforgettable concert where Glenn will showcase this album and his dazzling multi-instrumental mastery, rooted in his deep passion for Afro-Caribbean and Afro-Brazilian rhythms.

Known for his brilliance as an improviser, Glenn has collaborated with jazz greats like vibraphonist Cal Tjader, flautist Herbie Mann, and trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, playing both flute and vibes. He made his recording debut with legendary pianist Mary Lou Williams, contributed to classic albums with the likes of Cuban percussion master Mongo Santamaria (Mongo’70), funk/jazz icon Donald Byrd (Black Byrd), and Latin jazz legend Cal Tjader (La Onda Va Bien).

Roger Glenn – Vibes, Flute, Sax; Ray Obiedo – Guitar; Marcos Silva – Piano; Robb Fisher – Bass; Kelly Zaban Fasman – Drums; Derek Rolando – Percussion
