Cowboy Surf Shop has been part of the Half Moon Bay surf community since 1971, when it began as Miramar Surf Boards—a shaping space and the area’s first surf shop. Founded by Craig “Cowboy” MacArthur, the shop has remained rooted in board building, local knowledge, and a hands-on connection to the Coastside surf scene.
Today, Cowboy Surf Shop continues as a full-service, independently run surf shop serving Half Moon Bay and the greater Bay Area, offering boards, gear, and decades of experience in the water.
