Raptorama is here again!

Take a walk on the coast’s wilder side with Bay Area bird experts & earn firsthand about Coastside raptor habitats. Raptor enthusiasts, experts, and local organizations will be leading walks, workshops, and talks.

During the weekend of November 7-9 there are many different events for learning and participating.

Workshops & Walks

A series of birding workshops and walks are available. Workshops are indoors at the Coastside Senior Center (925 Main Street, Half Moon Bay) and will proceed regardless of weather. Walks are outdoors, over uneven terrain, in small groups and will explore local habitats.

Dinner

Dinner with keynote speaker, Glenn R. Stewart, Director of the Predatory Bird Research Group, University of California Santa Cruz.

California Raptor Show

In conjunction with Raptorama, CLT Art Gallery presents the2nd annual “California Raptor Show,” opening on Friday, November 7th, 5-8pm. The exhibit features 26 local artists that have captured California’s diverse raptor population through art. Media include oil, watercolor, batik, acrylic, mixed media, wood carving, and fine art photography.All art is for sale.

Show dates are November 7 – February 13 at Coastside Land Trust Gallery, 788 Main Street, Half Moon Bay.

  • Thur & Fri 11am-2pm.
  • Sun 10am-2pm.
